Additional Information
MFX-2050 (Muratec)

The new MFX-2050 from Muratec combines a host of document imaging solutions into a small, easy-to-use device.

Utilizing an intuitive touch screen interface, a Muratec exclusive in this segment, you can quickly program copy jobs, adjust scan settings, set security parameters and more. The new personal settings mode enables you to create custom address books and folder shortcut lists, set the default screens to your preferences, set the transmission confirmation report setting and more!

The standard 80-sheet automatic document feeder allows you to load large copy, fax and scan jobs without having to break them into multiple sets, while the legal-size platen glass enables the copying, faxing or scanning of documents that are not appropriate for the document feeder (carbon paper, identifications cards, books, etc.)

The MFX-2050 also features standard duplex printing which can reduce paper consumption and day-to-day operational costs by printing two-sided copies, PC prints and fax receptions.

Time-saving Macro keys can reduce keystrokes by allowing you to program frequently used copy command strings into a single executable button, allowing for one-touch job initiation. The Card Copy mode is a tremendous timesaver for medical offices and/or financial institutions that need the ability to quickly capture two-sided media, such as insurance cards, driver’s licenses or checks, onto a single page.

One of the key benefits of the MFX-2050 is the powerful digital document delivery solutions that are available at the touch of a button. Users can walk-up and quickly scan color documents directly to a network folder, e-mail address, FTP site and/or fax terminal.

Although competing devices may allow users to scan a document to a network folder, the MFX-2050 goes a step further by allowing users to actually browse their corporate network from the touch screen, mirroring the file navigation system on their PC. Frequently scanned-to locations can be pre-registered into one of 300 folder shortcut keys, allowing for one-touch scan initiation.

When scanning documents to an e-mail address users can add a custom file name (the name of the document being scanned), e-mail subject line and/or e-mail body text, all using the intuitive QWERTY keypad.

The MFX-2050 also allows users to create color copies, using the innovative scan to print monitor utility and a networked color printer. The utility quickly installs on a workgroup PC and routes color documents scanned from the device to a preset color printer. This solution is perfect for offices that would like to produce color copies, however do not want to invest in a full-blown color copier.

The MFX-2050 also serves as a powerful workgroup printing solution. The standard high-speed 10/100 BaseT Ethernet connection enables multiple users and workgroups to share the MFX-2050 as a printing resource, while the USB port enables a local PC printing solution.

New printing features such as Print on Demand and Security Printing enable you to work more efficiently and securely. Print on Demand allows you to locate commonly printed documents from the network and initiate printing from the MFX-2050 touchscreen. Security printing enables users to suppress document printout until a password has been entered on the machine.
